Where do you deliver to?
We cover the whole Wellington area including the CBD, all Wellington suburbs, Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt and surrounding suburbs, and Porirua. We cater events as far away as the Wairarapa and Kapiti Coast.
Do you charge a delivery fee?
Yes, for Wellington CBD and Lower Hutt CBD the fee is $15.00.
For deliveries to the suburbs the cost is between $20 and $50.00
Our order system calculates delivery fees automatically based on your post code. Please give us a call if you would like to know the cost for delivery to a particular area.

We offer food to cater for a wide range of food allergies.
Our kitchen offers products that may contain: Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Soy, Dairy, Eggs and Wheat. While we take steps to minimize the risk of cross contamination (cleaning and sanitization and separating the prep, cooking and storage processes of goods made with these allergens), we cannot guarantee that any of our products are 100% safe to consume for people with peanut, tree nut, soy, milk, egg or wheat allergies.
Customers concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk. Blue Carrot will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to food consumed, or items one may come in contact with while eating our products.

Monday – Friday:
We deliver between 8.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.
**Saturday **
On weekends we deliver between 8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.
On Sundays a minimum order of $1000+ GST applies
Orders are supplied with explanatory notes for reheating.
Ideally we like 2 or 3 days notice for orders but we can often accommodate orders with less lead time. Orders placed after 12.00pm for the following day incur a $25.00 late order fee
If you cancel your order within 48 hours there may be a cancellation charge.
If you cancel your order within 24 hours there will be a cancellation charge
If you cancel your order within 12 hours you will be charged the full amount.
A $25.00 fee applies for deliveries made between 7.00 a.m. - 8.30 a.m.
A minimum spend of $200.00 is required for hot deliveries (excluding delivery)
Yes, we have a talented team who can take care of everything while you enjoy your event. Prices for our staff are:
Chefs: $40.00 per hour with a minimum of four hours
Bar Manager: $36.00 per hour with a minimum of four hours
Waitstaff: $31.00 per hour with a minimum of four hours
Kitchenhand: $31.00 per hour with a minimum of four hours
For deliveries after 5.30pm a chef is required ($40.00 per hour) - min 4 hours ($160)
Yes, this depends on what you are ordering.
For a buffet, canapés, and tea and coffee the minimum is 10 people. For finger food, lunch bags, lunch boxes or platters the minimum number is 5 people.
How is your food pricing structured?
There are two options for ordering our finger food and canapés – you can either select individual items from our menu or we make up the order for you.
What are your prices for your finger food?
We offer a delicious selection for:
4 items: $15.50 per person (minimum 5 of an item)
5 items: $17.00 per person (minimum 5 of an item)
6 items: $18.50 per person (minimum 5 of an item)
Or you can make up your own with our price per item option.

How much are your Lunch bags?
$14.50 per person (3 items)

Our very popular canapés range from: 5 items: $15.00 per person or 6 items: $17.50 per person
